Meet Ed...
I am a fortunate man. I have a marvelous family and an incredible wife, Nancy, of over 25 years. I also have the pleasure and the honor to promote and market my own community for a living!
I grew up in Kalamazoo, attended it's public schools and graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in English Literature. I moved to Detroit, met Nancy, then moved to Chicago. We came back to southwest Michigan (Lake Doster) in 1996 to raise our three girls.
Nancy and I have owned property on Lake Doster since 1991. We moved to our current home in 1996 and have gone through all the challenges and joys of raising three beautiful girls (Emma, Joan, Anna). All three are attending, or have graduated from, the Plainwell School district.
As a former business owner and marketing executive in the pharmaceutical and medical device space, I understand that success in any endeavor requires full-out commitment and a dogged pursuit of superior service, superior communication and superior outcomes. When I made the choice to enter into a real estate career several years ago, I dedicated myself creating unique relationships with my clients. I consider each client a business partner, and I judge my personal success by the successful outcome of each client's transaction.
I grew up in Kalamazoo and I sell many homes there, in Portage, Mattawan and throughout southwest Michigan. But when I joined Jaqua Realtors, I made a conscious decision to make every effort to promote Lake Doster and make it my base of business. When we moved here in 1996, I instinctively knew that this beautiful and friendly community and it's real estate would benefit from a higher profile and professional marketing. I founded, and continue to sponsor, one of Greater Kalamazoo's most famous and largest neighborhood garage sales (Lake Doster Community Garage Sale). I joined the Lake Doster Homeowners Association (LDHA) and subsequently became it's president. I have made every effort to cast as wide a net as possible for those that may be interested in lake and golf course living. My marketing and my on-going promotion of the Lake Doster community became first regional and, now with this website, global.
